The Vision Behind School of Sanskriti

The Vision Behind School of Sanskriti

I grew up in a science-first home. While faith and tradition were always present in the background, I saw myself as a well-educated, progressive individual who believed everything needed proof.

Then, in my early thirties, my life changed overnight. I was diagnosed with a rare, progressive neuromuscular condition. There is no cure, and I was told it would gradually take away my mobility.

For the first time in my life, I found myself searching for answers that science alone couldn't provide. That search led me to God, to Indian philosophy, and to the incredible wisdom preserved in our scriptures.

What surprised me most wasn't what I found - it was realizing how little I knew about it. We are incredibly fortunate to have thousands of years of philosophy, literature, and spiritual thought in our own culture, yet I had gone through my entire education without ever truly being introduced to it.

It made me wonder: How many children are growing up today without ever getting the chance to explore this wisdom?

I realized there was a knowledge gap, and I wanted to do something about it. That's how School of Sanskriti was born.

Today, we're on a mission to make Vedic knowledge cool, engaging, and accessible for the next generation. Through stories, conversations, activities, and joyful learning, we're helping children build a lifelong connection with India's timeless wisdom - not through memorization, but through curiosity, understanding, and exploration.

Rediscovering Indian Culture Beyond Festivals

"Raising my daughter in Australia, I wanted my daughter to understand Indian culture beyond just festivals and food. School of Sanskriti made learning fun with stories, activities, quizzes and discussions. She now understands that there is so much science, meaning and wisdom behind our traditions. She asks more questions, shares what she learns, and feels proud of her roots.

Building Character Through Indian Values

"In today’s world, children are learning so many skills, but I always felt something important was missing: a foundation of values, Cultural values and character. School of Sanskriti has helped my child understand ideas like kindness, Satya, Dharma, discipline, courage, and respect through our own Indian stories and wisdom. What I love the most is how my child is beginning to understand the idea of Dharma, not just as a concept, but as a way of thinking. It is not just a culture class, it is helping shape the way my child sees herself, treats others, and understands the world around her."

Finding the Meaning Behind Traditions

"I’ll be honest, even as a parent, I didn’t always know the answers when my child asked ‘Why do we do this?’ or ‘What does this festival actually mean?’ School of Sanskriti has been a learning journey for both of us. Now my child understands the reason behind traditions instead of just following them, and our conversations at home have become so much more meaningful about our culture."
